marktschwalbe GmbH is working to establish drone delivery as a new standard for local supply – in rural areas as well as in urban regions with supply gaps. For this purpose, a web presence was needed that makes the project understandable, builds trust, and clearly communicates the benefits for different target groups. A website was sought that appears professional, remains approachable, and turns a complex research context into a tangible story.

Between research, practice, and everyday life
The challenge was not only technical but also in the storytelling behind it. Marktschwalbe operates on multiple levels simultaneously: the project already has real application experience but is also research-oriented and must appeal to different groups – from municipalities to traders to technology partners. With the real-world laboratory »U-Space Berlin«, in which Marktschwalbe collaborates as an industry partner on new logistics solutions for the capital, this ambition became even more visible. A presentation was needed that resolves this tension without becoming too technical and without promising end customers something that is not yet widely available. At the same time, the website should give the brand a distinct, recognizable face.
Focus on benefits, not technology
SOFA53NEUN developed a new content and design foundation for the presentation. The starting point was the question of how to tell a complex future topic in a way that its benefits are immediately understandable. Instead of highlighting the technology, we built the story consistently around everyday situations: moments when supply gaps become very concrete and the added value of the project is immediately clear. This approach was complemented by separate landing pages for municipalities, trade, and technology partners, each with its own arguments, tone, and focus.
High-tech with heart and integrity
The presentation should also deliberately break out of the usual tech grid in terms of design. The logo, developed by SOFA53NEUN during the preliminary project – a stylized swallow carrying a woven basket – formed the basis for an independent visual identity. Building on this, an illustrative design language was created that conveys the research character without appearing cold or technical. Since there was little suitable photographic material and a custom illustrated image system would have exceeded the budget, SOFA53NEUN curated a clear illustration style, defined themes, motifs, and image ideas, and implemented them consistently across the entire web presence using AI.
For implementation, Webflow was chosen. This significantly shortened the path from concept to a functioning website without compromising design and interaction. At the same time, it was important for the client to be able to manage content independently and easily. Therefore, a website structure was created with Webflow that allows the Marktschwalbe team to independently manage editorial content such as news and FAQs as well as regular page content. Custom scroll sections, synchronized image and text transitions, and subtle parallax effects add accents but always serve clarity.
Built quickly, landed smoothly
The new website clearly distinguishes Marktschwalbe from the often very tech-heavy drone industry and makes the project's benefits much quicker to grasp for different target groups. The client now has a professional, independent presence that is easy to maintain and brings the brand visibly closer to municipalities, trade, and partners. Organic search results also show that the content focus and search engine-friendly structure are effective: just one month after launch, Marktschwalbe was visible in the top 3 for searches like »drone delivery in rural areas« or »drone delivery Berlin« on Google.
